As a descendant of several Ulster-Scots who served in the Revolution (Virginia father and his son both fought on the side of the Patriots/Battle of King's Mtn. and of Guilford Courthouse, etc.), I am especially interested in the history of the storied military units of Britain, which were fighting in opposition to our cause. The Welsh, Scots and Northern Irish have fought all over the world and have always made-up vast swaths of Britain's military units. What a rich tale of history you have told! And, it is food for thought for our times more than ever. Thank you for the article.
