Really excellent thanks. I went through this a few years ago, now living a much simpler and by choice, more austere life in South America. When i simplified my life it opened up so much room for God. Lighter and simpler is definitely better.

Wish I would have been smart enough to figure it out without a crisis. Sometimes we need a push:)

Hi

Well I cant take credit for any intelligence or prescience or anything like that. I moved back to the US from Mexico in 2009 when cartel violence in the community where I lived, violence and kidnappings.....became bad enough where life there was too dangerous for me. Had lived in Mexico for 10 years and loved it absolutely. Would still be there today. if not for the internecine cartel wars..... I realized pretty quickly that life in the US had changed drastically- there were a couple of things I set out to accomplish when I came back that I failed at. I also was not prepared for the meddlesome busybody interference I found where the US culture labels one and attempts to cram one into a box... by age among other things.... So at 61 I sold everything except my backpack, got a cabin on a container ship and came back to Latin America, to Colombia. I backpacked for 4 years. Finally settled where I am in Ecuador. So no great intelligence, only trying to preserve some degree of privacy and personal freedom. I understand completely how change is many times borne of crisis. I like you wish I had been smart enough to have seen a little of what was coming.

In any case thanks very much for your kind reply and interest-

Thanks VO this is one I shall need to revisit to fully absorb the message within. You know my family and I live pretty simply, but there is always room for shedding, right? s for Fiestas, my younger brother bought one of the first XR2i cars it was a hoot! l love the 50's ranch house, it's perfect, as is the pretty beach where the kids are having their Bible study. Lightness is good and it frees the mind.

I always think we live simply until we visit friends here...

The Fiestas we got in the US had round headlights, and of course bigger bumpers than the Euro version. Pretty sure they rusted away rather quickly, as they are extremely rare now.
